This thing is built like a brick! Yes, it is only 1 foot, so be aware that it is smaller than a standard towel bar, but it would likely survive an apocalypse, and then you can still use it to smash cockroaches, if theres no towels left to hang on it. If you attach this thing to the studs, the only way it is coming down is if the wall does! (Unless you intentionally uninstall it using tools, of course) Great buy! I definitely recommend it!
