Second EDIT: I tried to see if the manufacturer would help me out with the issue of poor quality in the paint on my shower head. Warranty is for only 30 days. Having to replace something less than a year old is frustrating.
EDIT: 4 month after this was installed, the shower head face, where the water comes out of, has bubbled and the black paint had started peeling off. I'm not sure how this even happened, the water comes out of raised little silicone nubs, not the actual face plate. I also haven't really used any cleaner on it since it's not dirty, just water to take off any dust. It looks awful all bubbled and missing paint and if I so much as wet it again I bet most of the paint will come off. Gonna have to replace the shower head in 4 months. Not happy!
I also noticed I run out of hot water quicker, I think it uses way more water per minute than my previous shower system.
This is a beautiful and well made shower system. It feels sturdy and the shower head spray (while it only has one function) is great. The pressure is perfect. The handle feels sturdy. I am very pleased with the look and function.
My only concern, and it may be specific to my house and pipes, the valve or box (not sure what it's called, the part inside the wall) kind of makes a noise when the temperature is on warm. It doesn't make it when it's either in the cold or hot setting, just when it's mixed. It may be the pressure control, or just my house, not sure.
I think this is a great system for the price, and time will tell how it holds up, but it definitely feels study enough.
