Plastic Re-Keying Kit

I'm sure the kit would be great. However, the one I received had the pins everywhere. I'm not sure if I'll be able to sort this or if I need to try and return it.

This kit made rekeying my new locks fun. Sure I could have paid a locksmith to do it for me, but then I wouldn’t know the joy of misusing the follower bar and having top pins fly out everywhere. Once I sorted that out, the job was a breeze. Not for the faint of heart. Definitely worth the effort if you’re a tinkerer like me.

Excellent packaging and handling. This kit consists of hundreds of small, similarly sized, parts, loose in separate compartments, which would have been a nightmare had it not packaged and handled properly. Extremely relieved and happy.

Excellent kit. Plastic bin protector and foam rubber padding help keep all pins in their proper bins. I re-keyed 6 locks with success, no major problems. Suggest users add a short 1/2 in diameter wooden dowel, with grooved ends, for easier work with top springs. Very pleased with this purchase!

Successfully used it to rekey my new home deadbolt. It’s crazy that it doesn’t come with the cylinder cap removal tool, because the cylinder cap is extremely hard to remove without the special tool.
