Good product, easy to cut. Were finishing up a premium kitchen in a house that was built in 1923, so it has many angles that must be mitered. This is much easier to work with than hardwood and less expensive. I was afraid it would look cheap, but it looks exactly like wood, nails easily and was easy to paint and caulk. One of the only things that went easy on that job.

It’s plastic/vinyl coated (not the whole way around though)cork board so “universal” use might be stretching it- would not risk using it anywhere with wet/damp potential
