The screw is not aligned with the opening... So, after you install the base on the wall, it is IMPOSSIBLE to attach the towel ring to its base!

This is a modern, high quality fixture. The polished chrome fixture is easy to mount, I used wall anchors. It's a fantastic size to hold a hand towel.

Read the dimensions, it's a bit large for my space so I'm not positive if I will keep it - I look at hundreds of towel rings and love the simplicity of this design.
