This ladder is just what I needed. It does a great job in reaching items in my house. Not to big and not to small. Very sturdy to use. Most of all it was a great buy. Mr. Johnson

The Ilminster 4 - Step ladder appears to be effective, providing non slip grips on each step and the upper bar to hold onto if needed. The trouble with this step ladder is that it does not latch open (as shown in the close up pictures) therefore you if you do not balance your weight front to back when on the steps you risk it folding up and being unstable.

I think this was a smart buy for a good value. PROS Sturdy, doesn’t wobble unless the front feet get turned which can be adjusted. I like that it has the height of a ladder allowing me (5’1”) to reach 9’ ceilings for interior painting and trim with ease while being designed for inside the house. It folds well next to my dryer. CONS it isn’t that thin when folded and the paint chips rather easily. I’ve only had it a few days and I’ve been very careful with it, but it’s already scraped up and chipping. Thin paint. Otherwise satisfied with the value and product.
