This "old-fashioned" method for starting a fire is still the easiest method I've found. No need to keep a lot of paper or small kindling around - a small supply does the job since the fuel-soaked stone provide a source of fire to get your dry wood started. I prefer a slightly wider and shorter style than this modern version of the old design, but this one does the job.
