Had issues with smell from first hot fire up, wife was very upset. Seems to be over that issue, running furnace at low heat is working very well now. Makes a lot of heat with very little wood. Wish load door was higher on front of furnace. Don’t like draft fan on top. Overall happy with results at this time.

Overall good long burns with extremely dry wood. Only issues I’ve had is that if the fire dies down and their is smoldering coal bed the smoke travels out through the draft blower and fills the basement. This happened more than once. I’m not happy with this at all Kind of disappointing because our new chimney has a strong draft and just seems that if the firebox doesn’t have enough fire in firebox the smoke comes right out of the draft blower. But once you establish a hot good fire it works as it should - not as hot as the non EPA version but it does the job. Other than the smoke shooting out the draft blower it’s a good unit. Might have to make some sort of backdraft flap for the draft blower which should have come with the unit.
