Contractors struggled to install. The door is heavy and looks fantastic. Our last door was thin, and any time you accidentally bumped it, it would shake. This door is thick and held in place well, so it doesn't budge when bumped. Only thing I wish it had was a towel bar option, our bathroom is small so it would be very helpful to have a towel bar on the door.

I had a whole bathroom renovation done professionally and loved these shower doors the moment I saw them. My only issue and I am looking for an answer is the water flows out from under the sliding glass portion when I am using the shower head to clean it. I am looking for an answer as far as a silicone or plastic guide to prevent it. Any help would be appreciated.

First thing, I can tell this shower is really well designed and built. Almost everything is extremely solid and durable. The reason I leave 4 stars is the instructions, which were a little bit unclear in parts. In particular, the manual clearly stated that you need a 1/4 inch hole in the tile, then insert the white anchor, then the brass coupling and the screw. But the provided anchor is 5/16, and very stiff, so there is no way to fit it in a 1/4 inch hole. Something I realised after doing the hole, so that was frustrating. Second thing, the screws provided for that anchor are extremely short. Considering I had wood backing behind the walls, I felt like this screw should reach at least to the studs, but I could only get around 3/8 into the studs. While this is possibly okay, wouldn't kill to have a longer screw option at this price point. Last thing, the instructions specifically ask to drill in the curb. Most modern curbs are styrofoam or empty. Drilling in the curb provides zero support and voids waterproofing warranty on showers. There should be instructions for no-drilling option.

The shower door is great but there are issues which Vigo need to deal with. 1) the 1 inch stainless steel screws supplied which hold the plates to the wall and carry the rail, are too short. In the US with 3/8 tiles, 1/4 thin-set and 1/2 inch of Schluter Kerdi board, require longer screws which I had to buy inorder to screw into the wood blocking I built into the support walls. 2) some of the sketches in the installation instructions need embellishment to help understand things for example the reference to 7/8 inch distance between the plate and glass. 3) cutting the rail - there is no mention of making allowances for the thickness of the plates 1/2 inch and the screw heads which protrude beyond the plates by another 1/8 inch BTW - don’t try to give this feedback on an iPhone . Vigo website doesn’t handle it !
