Honestly perfect for what I wanted; a much better size than the average fireplace shovel that comes with sets, more than sufficient length to reach the back (the shorter length than normal actually makes it EASIER to use), and the brush is just the right size and stiffness. Even better, the shovel is small enough to still fit inside the ash bucket I purchased separately. If you’re looking for fancy this isn’t your item, but for functionality it’s the best I’ve used.

Was a gift for my daughter and husband. They love it. The brush itself is very easy to handle with sturdy bristles. The shovel is the perfect size and weight
