I was so excited to receive this fire place mantel. My excitement faded quickly After drilling several sets of holes in my walls. I realized there was no way for this to work. It didnt come with any brakets, and wouldnt adhere to the wall. So it is sitting on top of my electric fireplace instead of on the wall. The mantel is beautiful, but useless.

This is a nice wood mantle. Its assembled from pieces of real wood in a natural wood tone. Since its hollow inside, its not too heavy but still feels very sturdy. It comes fully assembled - just unbox and hang. It comes with mounting hardware, long screws and anchors. Take note of the width, as 48 is a little short for a fireplace mantle. Totally my fault for not measuring more closely, though. No problem with the product. Since its too short for my fireplace, I plan to keep it and use it as a floating wall shelf, which I think will be really pretty. Overall great quality mantle (or floating shelf!)
