The piece is really in 2 parts for a total of 54 inches.

Be aware...although no where on the description is that this is two 27 inches pieces and thus in that way they intentionally mislead you to think you are purchasing a 54 inch backsplash, when in reality it is 2 pieces and each piece is 27 inches and thus when you put them together you get 54 inches but there is a seam in the middle. Better to look for a single 54 inch backsplash. Was ahuge hassle to try to return. Even though the description never states two 27 inch pieces, the Wayfair customer service was arguing that it was due to my bad judegement. The picture shows 2 pieces but there are no dimensions provided in the picture and the only words are to the right that describe it as a 54 inch backsplash. Customer service repeatedly stated it was my fault and wanted me to pay for return shipping. Instead of debating with customer service, I learned that if you hang up and redial, you can get a different customer service person and eventually find someone who is helpful
