The baseboard stop is a well constructed, heavy duty decorative piece. The piece is solid brass and when properly attached to the baseboard with the included attachment hardware will not have any difficulty stopping even the heaviest of doors. The attachment piece requires 3 screws (included) to anchor to your baseboard allowing for plenty of strength to hold the solid brass stop. From a visual perspective, the piece is very decorative. This is the perfect solution for an entry door that butts up to a closet door-I didn't want to worry about the entry door opening too much and banging onto the closet door but couldn't have a door stop on the floor because that would impede opening the closet door.
