Tested the DynaGlo heater last night in an 800 square foot mostly insulated barn/workshop. The ignition worked on the first click and on a 50* night it heated up the space to about 58* in an hour on the low setting. The unit is made of thin sheet metal which is fine but the weight makes it hard to keep steady while depressing the ignition button (notice the bricks I placed against the base in my photo). I filed down the sharp edges on the sheet metal holes where my hands go to pick it up. Comes with a 10 foot hose and regulator rated for 5psi. The flame is larger and makes more of a sound than expected but it's nowhere near as loud an annoying as the rocket heaters. It absolutely requires concrete or another non-flammable surface to sit on and 72" clearance around it. It's basically a propane fire pit with a can around it. Overall I am happy with the simplicity and function in the mild weather. Probably won't be the main heat source for my leaky old space but a backup to use as my woodstove is heating up.. Trescha. I purchased this product to provide heat for my unheated garage space. It arrived quickly, contained all parts and was of excellent quality. I connected it to a 20 lb. propane tank as instructed and it worked well. An igniter is built into the heater. My 22X24 foot garage was heated by 15 degrees in 1.5 hours, averaging 10 degrees an hour increase. No electricity is needed, it does make a small roaring sound, but not intrusive. Follow all safety recommendations as the heater gets very hot on top. Instructions state not to use this product within a home due to possible carbon monoxide (CO), I did not experience any problems using it in my garage.
