A little shaky. It wobbles a lot and the steps bow when stepped on, it doesn't feel super solid. That being said, I don't feel like it's going to collapse. Noise-free is a bit of an exaggeration. Assembly took about 3 hours. It looks good. The desk is more of a shelf. I suppose you could do work on it, but it's too small for a computer monitor / keyboard or writing on paper. We put a normal queen mattress on it, but it's too thick and makes the side bars useless and I kind of worry about safety. I'd recommend getting some sort of thin mattress made for a loft, but then I really think that the bed would be super duper uncomfortable because of the metal frame. So... yeah, I guess after writing all this I would not recommend this product.

Very sturdy. Nice design. The underneath section adds a lot of usage possibilities! I recommend for a teen room or a smaller sized office and guest room combo.

The bed frame was a little rickety- not sure if was from the installation (we had a Wayfair assembly person). The quality was fine but there is not much room between the desk and the bed.

Its wobbly....there should be some kind of bracing bar at the back so that its not so rickety.
