The craftsmanship of the precut wood is beautiful. But... (1) Building this box is a bigger project than I expected. (2) There are no pre-drilled pilot holes on the legs, which creates potential for slight but significant measuring errors, especially when the screws go through knots. (3) The quality of the provided wood screws is poor. They strip easily. I finally used screws from my hardware store that made the job much easier.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Beautiful cedar box planter. It is light weight and assembly is easy. It is lifted for pest resistance and has proper drainage. I highly recommend it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love the smell of cedar wood! This is such a beautiful planter. It took a few hours to build this, and it was not easy. There are a lot of pieces, and they did not all match up perfectly. I wish the pieces were labeled. It would have been much easier if all the pieces were labeled. I do love this planter, though, and I would recommend it for an experienced craftsman.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was overwhelmed as soon as I opened the box. Thank goodness I had someone to help me put this thing together. I wish the pieces had been better labeled. We mistakenly put the side raiils in where the end rails were supposed to go and ended up having to disassemble and reassemble the sides. The cedar smells amazing and I have high hopes that the product will last, but several slats did split while we were assembling the planter. The planter is big, but not quite square. We had a little gap on the last side. Hopefully when we line and fill it, it won’t be a problem. Looking forward to planting hot peppers in it in the spring.
