I was so excited to put this together and fill it with plants. When I noticed the location on my patio wasn’t quite right as it was getting too much sunlight I moved it. The wood cracked, the planter fell apart and all of my plants spilled out. I did manage to patch it back together and hopefully they all survive. I DO NOT RECOMMEND!

This planter looks as advertised in the photo. We're excited to use it for our flowers and some veggies. As we built it (which is definitely a two-person job), we did have a few issues, though, largely relating to poor quality materials. The description is misleading in that regard. 1. They provide metal thumb tacks to secure the box liner to the box. I strongly recommend not using these. As we pushed them into the wood gently, two of them broke (one on me and one on my fiancé), resulting in the pin coming through the round tack and stabbing us. 2. To then try to attach the tacks more safely, we gently hammered one in. This resulted in the poor-quality wood splintering around a nearby screw and breaking. We then had to add a new screw to re-attach the boxes together. This wood splits extremely easily...the description claims it is "not easy to crack for long-term use" but that is definitely not true. 3. The shelf on the back is very flimsy. You definitely cannot put anything heavy on it. They say it cann hold 33lbs, but I would not suggest that. It's very bouncy in the middle. 4. Instructions are a bit confusing and complicated. You absolutely need two people to assemble it and even then it can be challenging. Instructions are all visual, with no written descriptions. 5. Wood was not well sanded and has splinters 6. There is not a good guide for how to line up the top box, so it is really up to you to get it in the right spot. Overall the guidelines for how to line things up are not great. If you decide to purchase this, definitely wear gloves as you construct it and have your own tools and someone to help you handy!
