I liked the idea of a raised bed, assuming it would eliminate the need to dig up a plot of land for growing, rototilling, etc - add some flexibility to our home landscape. This is all true, and why I ordered this planter box. I didnt realize it was actually a set of 2 planter beds -- so thats a bonus! I also neglected to pay attention to the size of the bed -- from the photo, I thought it was more of a narrow long bed frame -- however, it is a large bed frame -- 8 feet long, 4 feet wide. The shipping box is heavy. The frame itself has the long sides which are not that heavy -- the supports on the sides are steel and add some weight. The sheer size creates the heaviness. You get two beds in the package so you really end up with a nice size garden. Assembly was straightforward, once we experimented. Instructions were a bit confusing and vague so it took us a little time to figure out. Then it was just dogged determination. Lots of bolts. In the end, we assembled in the family room and pushed it outside. Ready to fill and plant. It will take quite a bit of soil but should be so convenient and well worth the effort.

Bought as open box at a great price. All the parts were like new. Great open box price and the materials were like new. The instructions were very basic and the panels weren’t labelled. Measure them before assembling to make sure the short and long panels (only a slight difference) are used correctly.
