Love the length of this planter box, didn't realize that there wasn't a "bottom" though. We created shelves and then put potted plants inside. We also sealed the planter box which gave it a darker appearance. Beautiful!

I'm a 61 year old female & I was able to put this planter box together by myself, which by the way was pretty simple. However I found that it does not come with a bottom piece at all, just a 1x2x12" slat that goes in between the middle section halfway up, more as a brace. It looks nice but I'll have to add pressure treated wood to it plus more braces and a liner for it to hold anything! There was a warped wood slat at the very end of the long side which made tightening the end to it a little difficult, I had to use a blade to cut some off it was so curved. Had I built it from scratch I guess the cost of material might have been a little less, so to have four sides to put together wasn't that bad. It is a good size though. Photos are showing it sitting on my back deck after I put it together.
