A very nice light for my space - a little more interesting and decorative than most flush mounts. Only drawback was it was a little pricey for what it is.

I bought two of these for use in the newly expanded living room of our 110 year old house in keeping with its character and period details. I really like the item. It has fine details on both the fixture and shade, gives adequate light (I have them on dimmer switches), and looks attractive in the room. It has an original look, classic not trendy. It throws an odd shaped shadow on the ceiling, a sort of divided circle, but I got used to it. A medallion may help downplay that.
