I was thrilled to find these placemats. I had a set that was over 20 years old and was looking to replace them. Unfortunately the quality of this set from this website is very poor. The surfaces are already scratched, as if the 'paint' were chipping off and white background is revealed. Really poor quality. Greed is a horrible thing.

Worst than junk. Appears study and colorful. Be careful, this is not in anyway similar to placemats made in England. The colorful image is sheet of plastic wrap thinner than the plastic bags used to put vegs and fruit. I had a fork fall on it and within days a bubble formed and then the plastic starting coming off. It was less than 2 weeks. Right now I am having a problem getting my refund for some reason.
