More of a champagne color than taupe. Kinda sparkly. Probably better holidays. Thick and “cushiony” ( not a real word, but you get the idea). May order another set to decorate holiday table. Adding photos to show color of placemats

Beautiful placemats! I ordered the silver and they are metallic but not overly shiny. I could use these year round. The mat is nice and thick and seems to be good quality. I’m very happy with these. I took off one star as they seem to have a problem with a dent in the top ones- see other reviews that also mention this. The product itself is really nice but they have done something in packaging that dents the top one or two placemats in the bunch.

The color is nice and made of high quality materials. Its like leather. However, we received the items damaged. There is a dent in the middle of the placemat on every single one of them, some are pronounced than others. Wayfair replaced the items. But the 2nd shipment was the same where there is a dent on every placemat. I am not quite sure if this is due to the way it was stored at their warehouse that resulted in a recurrence issue. Its rather annoying to look at when you set up the table. I dont think I will use them during the holiday as I intended.

The first batch I ordered had a dent in all 4 placemats, so I reordered a replacement. They, also, arrived with a dent in them. They are of nice quality and could be wiped off easily. If you do take a chance on them, keep in mind that they are SILVER, not gray.

These are substantial and thick placemats. They are a nice weight. They are basically silver with only a football like texture. These had a mark in the middle from some sort of pressure. I am waiting to see if they go back to normal in time.
