The color of the placemats weren't as pictured. For the cream color placemats, there is a gold streak in the pattern. This gold streak wasn't visible in the pictures on the website. When I washed the placemats, the edges started to fray with multiple threads around the edges. I hope that this is a one time thing and that the fraying doesn't get worse with future washings.
