I was mildly disappointed with this fixture. It really matches the style I want for my space, and its shorter height is great for my 8' ceilings. So, it checks the boxes there. Negatives from my perspective - 1. It's definitely more brassy than brushed gold. The color *is* burnished brass, but I would say that it's even brassier than the online photo implies. Not the end of the world. I can always spray paint it if it bothers me that much. 2. I have installed dozens of light fixtures in my lifetime, and this one is up there as one of the most frustrating to install. First, they don't provide all of the necessary hardware. You will need to provide your own wire nuts and hardware to attach the mounting plate to the junction box. They do provide screws to attach the fixture to the mounting plate. However, they provide only one nut per screw. Two are really needed so that the screws stay put while attaching the cap nuts. 3. The recommended lamp/wattage is very dim. I have this installed in a hallway, and it's very cavernous. I will need to go up in wattage/lumens. Also, the light does not appear uniform on the shade. It's very shadowy. So, overall, a love/hate relationship with this one. I am glad I got it on sale. I was going to install this same style in an adjacent space, but I'm not sure about that now based upon this experience.
