I was told via Wayfair "chat" that this item would have see through lid but it does not. This was one of the main reasons for my purchase of the size 20 quart and see through lid. If I had been given the correct information (that this size does not have the see thought lid) I would have adjusted the quart size to 18 quart so I would have been assured I got the see through lid . way too heavy, lid is very hard to lift, im not young anymore, not able to change seal is extremely worrisome and not good for cooking as i use different coloured seals for different smelling foods ie curry, lemon, oatmeal, beans. seals absorb smells and ruins you next meal. this does fit on my countertop but to open it i have to move it to a table!!! not good..
