works great - the mounting kit hardware (extra) wasn't really necessary but should be included with the price.

As others have said - takes forever to dry and makes tight balls of sheets. Have done all the recommended troubleshooting. Huge electricity bill, very disappointed. If GE has a recommended fix, I’d love to hear it.

We decided to downsize our washer and dryer and after reviewing reviews picked the GFD 14js1nww dryer. It works great easy to operate and we like the fact the washer can be plugged into the dryer eliminating a plug in the outlet

This was replacement dryer and I am quite disappointed--was supplied by the management company. Compared to the old dryer, this one is so much smaller and so low to the ground. The drum is therefor small as well. The biggest pain is it rolls bed sheets, large bath towels, and my wife's lounging gowns into tight balls. This requires frequently stopping the cycle, shaking out the balled-up item, and restarting the load. Also, the dryer sheets get caught in the small gap between the drum and the body of the dryer. I intend to share this info with the apartment management company so other tenants don't end up with this sub-par dryer.

I just bought it and run for the first time. It is very loud: 76 ~ 78 dB. Big mistake.
