Resin Solar Pedestel Fountain with Light

Great fountain. Makes a very pretty sound.

The Solar Pedestal Fountain enhances our landscape bed. It provides a soothing, peaceful sound to the surrounding area. I am happy that it has the solar option, but I have found that the solar charge does not last long enough to see the light come on at night. I did locate the solar panel where it will receive the most sun. In addition, the motor has to be cleaned once a week to keep the water flowing at a higher speed.

The pump did not work . Had to wait for a replacement.

I’m thrilled. I was hesitant to purchase after reading some of the reviews but the price reduction was too good to ignore. I put it together easily and I am known in my family as being hopeless at assembling anything. The first night it only had sunlight for about 2 hours so it stopped working. I turned it off. The next day I left it off until late afternoon giving the battery a chance to charge. I turned it on and fountain immediately began to work. It is now dusk, the light has come on along with the pulsing water. It’s beautiful. I’m thrilled

I purchased this fountain for several reasons, 1st I liked the look of it, 2nd it was solar panel operated and 3rd the cost. It was reduced by more than $600 which should have been a red flag warning. I have had positive experiences with solar operated items but this was awful. The panel failed to retain energy from the sun, subsequently when direct sunlight was lost the pump would stop working immediately. After approximately 3 pm when the sun was in the backyard and the fountain was in the front I could no longer enjoy the fountain because it stopped working. I had this item for all of 3 days before sending it back. Also you will pay approximately $40 dollars for shipping fees. I don't recommend this item unless it's placed in an open area that gets continuous direct sunlight.

I could never get the fountain to work. Even had a professional to assist me to no avail.

False advertising! I bought this fountain because the website description says it holds 5 gallons water (photo attached). I wanted the larger water capacity because where I wanted to put the fountain in my yard wasn't close to a spigot and I didn't want to have to refill it every day. Plus I liked the idea of the added weight 5 gallons would have to keep the fountain steady. But it barely holds one gallon water! The way it is built it looks like there should be a water reservoir in the pedestal. Once you add more than one gallon water, the water flows through pores in the basin (pores covered with a filter material) and then into the pedestal (photo attached). But the pedestal is hollow and the water just runs onto the ground. It would make sense that there should be a container in the pedestal to catch and recirculate the water. But there is not. I called Wayfair, they agreed it should hold 5 gallons of water as advertised and sent me a replacement. The replacement was exactly the same. Any more than a gallon of water flows into the pedestal and onto the ground. I thought I could add a bucket in the pedestal to act as a reservoir but the way the pedestal is shaped, the reservoir would have to be an exact fit. Otherwise the water just runs down the inside wall onto the ground. One gallon of water evaporates quickly in the summer and running it dry ruins the pump. I actually tried to use it and sure enough, I had to carry a gallon of water out to refill it every day. Since I don't feel like having to walk a gallon of water to the fountain every single day, less the pump runs dry and breaks. So I am returning it. As a side note, the instructions say you should only use distilled water so that you don't get hard water build up that will also damage the pump. That is just what I am going to do: buy a gallon of distilled water to refill my pump every single day - NOT! I will look for a fountain that can hold more than one gallon of water at a time.

Love the fact it's solar powered. The light at night works great
