This is a simply a beautiful light fixture! The dome is a cast resin or plastic of some sort, but when installed, it looks just like porcelain – very elegant. That could be enough, but there's even more! They've put a lot of thought into what it actually takes to install & level the fixture. It comes with a set of four 6" screws which allow you to temporarily suspend the fixture below the installed height so that you can do the electrical connections without having to hang or balance the whole fixture at the same time. What a lifesaver! Leveling the dome is easy due to fully accessible, spring loaded slip fittings that grip the cables firmly but happily let you push & pull the cable when you depress them slightly. Nicely made & well thought out!
