Beautiful, elegant, but what a challenge to install! We really like this ceiling light. It fits so well with our decor. Yet, it was quite a challenge to install. Is it because our house electric installation was not perfect—the wires were indeed short!—or because of the design of the light fixture? Nevertheless, after almost an hour of work it was installed and beautiful. Warning: check the type of lighting you prefer before completing the installation. There is a switch that allow going from on type of lighting to the other. Do a few tests!

We replaced an old fluorescent fixture with this LED fixture. Our house was built in 1939, but I'd date the the original fixture from the 1990s. This light is well-priced and, in turn, the "wood" does not look much like wood (photos attached). It is a cheap plastic imitation made to look like wood, and even less than the product photos suggest. I know this is a tradeoff for the price. It looks metallic (more gold than wood) when the light is on. Installation was simple enough, but please know that light is attached to the bracket upon arrival so you'll want to twist it off before installation. With our older wiring, we didn't have a green ground screw (existing wires were already grounded), so we capped the provided copper ground wire. The light it a very warm/yellow light -- not a natural/white sunny light -- and I don't know yet if this will feel like too little light. This is an upgrade from what we had -- a fluorescent light that took a few seconds to blink on to minimal visibility -- and is a good price. I still feel it's lacking, though, and that maybe it's worth spending 2x more for a fixture that feels more intentional, if that's in your budget.

I bought three of these for the hallways and they were easy to install and I was able to choose what type of light brightness I wanted. Good for the price.
