I really wanted to love this light fixture, but it ended up being more trouble than it’s worth. We had to buy a separate recessed lighting conversion kit just to install it, and even then it still doesn’t sit flush to the ceiling. The gap between the fixture and the kit is impossible to ignore. On top of that, when you look up you can see the bright light bulb directly, which completely ruins the look and makes the room feel unfinished. It’s pretty in photos, but the installation issues and poor design make it a big disappointment.

I’m on a mission to replace all the horrible dome lights in my rental, starting with the kitchen. This light not only distracts from the popcorn ceiling but also adds a splash of my favorite color. The light arrived well-packaged and was easy to install myself. I was able to remove the old fixture and install this one within 30 minutes. My only complaint is that I wish it could handle a 100W bulb, since it’s limited to 60W; otherwise, I’m very pleased with it overall.
