Abat-jour cylindrique en verre grainé semi-encastré Faenza

I chose the Black version of this semi flush ceiling light fixture as a potential replacement style for builder's grade fixtures in the hallways of my home (ugly frosted glass with brown center and edges). This fixture is well made and was easy to assemble. The glass is thick, clear, and smooth with no imperfections. I love that it came with a high quality clear warm LED bulb for old-fashioned ambience. The installation instructions and included ceiling bracket and wiring is simple, and will be very simple to install (I've installed many fixtures lately and this type is easy. I think this would be a major improvement on the builder's fixture, but I found another farmhouse/shabby chic style that I love more and will be using instead. That's why the pictures are of the uninstalled but assembled fixture.

The glass drum shade is seeded and light enhances giving it a shimmering look. The gold finish added another look that contrasts with the seeded glass shade giving off a nice visual look to the area the light is used for. Unfortunately for me it is the wrong size.

We ordered the matte black color but they sent the gold version. It’s a very pretty light and we’re still trying to decide if we’re going to install it since we really wanted the matte black finish. We might install it somewhere else because it is so pretty.
