The one issue I have is that the light shade is in a fixed position based on the junction box brackets, so you cannot independently rotate the shade seam to an inconspicuous spot. You would literally have to adjust the junction box brackets.

Love this light for a bedroom. Gold finishes look sharp. Does not hang too low. This is a 9ft ceiling for reference.

Beautiful light! But installation is not straightforward. It comes partially assembled. But you must disassemble it and follow the instructions to put it together properly. Not mentioned in the (otherwise good) instructions: The drum shade has a very obvious place where it comes together (pic), so you'll want to point it a direction that makes that less visible. To achieve that, you need to be strategic about how you attach the mount to the ceiling box and then the fixture to the mount. The part that goes up against the ceiling is quite small -- barely bigger than the ceiling box. So we'll have to do a bit of patching before we paint the ceiling (pic). The cloth shade is covered with cellophane (not easy to remove), and they give you a white glove so you can handle it without leaving dirty marks on it. The glass bottom needs to be worked inside of the bottom of the cloth shade (requires some finesse). The instructions indicate this with two curved arrows (not very obvious). The finial that screws on the bottom under the glass does not tighten against anything -- you just turn it enough to hold the glass in place. After it is finally installed, it is worth the effort!

Love this for multiple bedrooms in my home. Understated and simple, but classic and goes with everything. Easy to install and quick shipping!
