While Meyda offers many far more colorful lights than this one, it turned out to be a great choice given that most of the other elements of the room were already bringing in a lot of color. The mica is reasonably opaque — the location of the ballast and wires are not immediately apparent when someone sees the light — but lets a lot of light through, as we had hoped; some craftsman-style lights are so heavily colored as to make them nearly useless for illumination, but this one lights up the room nicely. The light was carefully packed and arrived in fine condition. We especially like how the leaves along the bottom are not flat and flush with the mica, but instead arc slightly away from it and each have their own shape.
