It is not battery operated as described within the details section. The reason for the purchase was to have a free-standing table fountain without an electrical cord to stretch across a desk to reach a power source. Organization plans were compromised. A quiet fountain, which is unusual, and aesthetically, entertaining to watch the globe spin.
