I was expecting the shade to be glass and not plastic and, was expecting it to throw a warm yellow light - instead it is quite grey when light is both on and off. First impression upon opening the box was this fixture was way overpriced ... and first impressions are lasting!

Just beautiful-looks like genuine alabaster

This is a pretty basic light but it is easy to install and looks good in the hallway. Changing bulbs will be a bit of a pain though.
