The nutcracker was well painted and assembled, but it was definitely not worth the price I paid for it. Should really only have cost half that amount and at that, it would have been too much. It was not made in Germany, instead in China, which was stamped on the front of the plastic. Very difficult to remove. I have collected nutcrackers for years and if I had seen this one displayed rather than on line, I doubt I would have paid this much. I'm giving it 4 stars because it is painted well, as I previously noted, just not worth what I paid.
