Jolene Collection Glass No Pattern Round Placemat (Set of 4)

Lovely placemats except the beaded design is so close to the middle of the mat that you can’t center a dinner plate on it. I’ve tried smashing the innermost bead cluster aside, but the plate just won’t sit level with beads under the rim. I like them otherwise so I’m going to try to remove the beads that are too close to the middle. They’re wired on very well though so I’m hoping I can manage it without damaging the mat overall. Edit: it’s not easy to remove them but with a lot of patience and fine wire cutters (or scissors you don’t care about) it can be done.
