I love my fountain. It is exactly what I wanted.

This solar-powered fountain was exactly what I needed for my pergola. Setup was a snap, and it looks beautiful and makes such a soothing sound.

The instructions can be a little two sided/tricky to understand (at least for me, they were)-they tell you the colors of the lights that will show on the back of the solar panel when the battery is fully charged...so great, mine were green (for completely charged) when I unpacked it so I thought the solar panel was ready to work via solar/in the sun straight out the box...Wrong! I pressed the button to turn it on, and it worked, but it must have been using battery power so a few hours later it shut off. I was confused because the sun was directly on the solar panel, so a series of questions ran through my head...Am I supposed to power it on, does the solar panel just work without pressing the power on, is pressing the power on using battery or solar?! I reread the instructions, and call me silly, but I still didn't have the answers to my questions. I thought to myself; I'm glad I kept the box! However, I decided to call the customer service number in the instruction manual, and was told to let the solar panel charge in the sun for a few days (unplugged/not connected to anything on the fountain), regardless of what color the light was illuminating on the back of the solar panel. Well, I left it to charge for a week! I just tested it out yesterday morning-I connected everything, pressed the power on and hooray, it was working! But, I wanted to wait until this morning to see if it would resume working via solar, and YES, IT DID!! So...the fountain is wonderful-I love the soothing sound of soft trickling water when it's on, and not the sound of roaring rapids like some fountains can have. It fits perfectly on my small patio, and I (now) love the solar power so I don't have to worry about running electrical cords on an uncovered patio to use a fountain, and if I sit out at night, I have the option of using it then, too. ...I just think the instructions need to be tweaked a bit, or written specifically for this fountain and not inclusive of all the solar fountains that the company sells, and the price is a little steep, too. My overall opinion-the fountain is five stars, but considering everything else I mentioned, I had to give it a four star review.
