I ordered this electric fireplace but received a box of wall slat panels instead. When I contacted Wayfair, I was offered 20% off the panels, which was unacceptable because I had not ordered them and had no use for them. I was then told my only other option was a full refund because this fireplace was backordered and the website inventory was incorrect. However, the website stated that "5" were still in stock and still does and the price had increased from $199.36 to $479.99. The fireplace was originally scheduled for delivery on Thursday, and I had hired a contractor to do a build out wall and install it that Saturday. Because of the time constraints, I had to purchase a different fireplace with fewer features at an additional cost of $110 and delivery was the following Monday. I must also pay the contractor to return for another installation appointment, causing further stress, inconvenience and expense. This was a terrible experience and Wayfair has likely lost a long time customer.
