I bought this as a replacement for my Mom. She had the cabinet and this unit works perfectly and keeps her entire room warm. Highly recommend!

We love it. It really heats up our bedroom.

I'm not crazy about this product. It makes a lot of noise but it is intermittent, I think the cover vibrates. It only has a small radius for the heat to travel into the room. The lower heat setting does not do much and the higher setting is nice if you are sitting right in front of the fireplace on the left where the vent is. The different light settings are not significantly different, I leave it on the highest all the time. Even the brightest setting is pretty dim-like a gas fire set on low. The remote is finicky and has to be pointed directly at the sensor in the front at exactly the right angle for it to work. If it weren't such a headache to box it back it up and pay for shipping I would return it and get a different type. The only bright spot is that it does not have a chemical smell any more after the first couple of uses.
