I love this picture. I bought it because it remines me of my two boys when they were small. I just love the fact that the dog was added to the picture. I just love dogs. They have always been apart of my family and when my children were growing up.

This Christmas canvas has undercurrents much deeper than the solitude depicted by the brushstrokes of artist Jack Sorenson. There is a boy who is paying homage to a babe who was wrapped in swaddling blankets and laid in a manger. Further, Jack tells of the relationship between a competent boy, his relationship with a kind, dependable horse and a good dog. Through all of this, Jack allows the viewer to wonder about the man this boy will grow into. A man we would all be the better for having known. Well done, Mr. Sorenson.

I love this picture. It’s so fun in our Western Home Family Room. The artist, is a favorite of mine.
