Not as hard to put together as everyone made it out to be. It will require a drill. Only assembly complaint is lining up the hinges with the pilot holes. Just line it up where the door swings and and stops. Gorgeous and looks just like the photos.study and easily holds my 75 lb pit and my 90 lb lab without the divider.

Love the end product!! A little challenge putting it together but it is perfect for our space.

We bought this crate with the intention we would be painting it. The wood is actual wood but if you were keeping it white the paint seems more like a primer. Set up is time consuming (isn’t everything though) but it was easy follow. The wood top was two different shades of stained wood but since we painted ours it wasn’t an issue. The room divider is nice and easy to change, crate size is spacious. Overall I’m happy with our purchase.

Firstly, this really is nice, I think I’m really going to like the two I bought. However, be aware that this is quite an assembly job. It took two of us who have put lots of stuff together before 6 hours to assemble it. I imagine the second assembly tomorrow will go somewhat faster now that we know what we’re doing. Also, there is a quarter inch gap in the bottom front molding right in the middle. I don’t think that was error on our part, as I don’t see how we could have done anything different. Also, this is not nicely painted as in the picture. It looks like it was painted with a light white primer wash. The wood grain shows through and it just doesn’t look finished. There should have been plug covers for some of the holes drilled for screws on the front. So I’m going to fill in all the cracks and holes with wood putty, sand, and paint them the nice cream color in the picture. When I’ve done that, I think they will look just like the picture. Having said all that, considering these are actually wood and not particle board like most furniture style dog crates, I think they are worth the price. Just know that you’re going to have more work to do than you would be expecting reading the product description.
