Beautiful planter. All wood. From measurements shown, you’ll need to add for thickness of pot, 1.5 to 2 inches. Your choice of insert will need to be measured accordingly. Which I did by purchasing a tree (also from Wayfair) with a smaller base and secured it. The small insert and rock is what I added to lift the tree to desired height and rock to secure it.

The walls of the planter are quite thick so the space for a pot is significantly smaller than you would expect
