Terrarium en verre berriman

Great terrarium! Used for a dried flower display and it works great.

Perfect for my child's venus fly trap plant and arrived in a very timely manner.

(1) This is fairly useless as a "terrarium." The joints between the glass panes are not water tight, so it will leak water out of the bottom and sides when you water a plant inside. I tried sealing the joints with silicone, but gave up after the several attempts. Eventually, I just placed it in a clear plastic tray, but the aesthetic effect is lost. (2) The hinge on the top panel is terrible. It does not swing all the way open, and the hinge is so flimsy that it broke after being opened and closed a few dozen times (despite the fact that I was being very careful not to stress it). The weight of the glass pane is enough to bend the hinge, which is made of metal not much thicker than a few sheets of aluminum foil. I now have to remove the top panel and then place it back on top after watering. (3) Some of the corners have very sharp edges and I got several cuts on my fingers just handling it. I finally located all of the sharp points and used a metal-grinding attachment on a power drill to smooth them.
