I researched electric fireplaces forever! I found that this one was the perfect combination of features, aesthetics, and other good reviews. My electrician mounted it inside our basement TV surround. It heats, has fun colors, and the remote is responsive and easy to use. This is a perfect substitute if you cannot have a gas one (and honestly even if we could, for the price and quality, I'd choose this!) I've recommended this to a few other people who have also bought it and been very satisfied.

Really nice fireplace. I love that it's clear glass and you can see the rocks even when it's off.
