Before & After: Odd-Shaped Deck to Outdoor Oasis
Take a look at how one blogger turned her small, awkward balcony into an envy-inducing getaway.

Casey, of DIY Playbook, barely used her small triangular deck—only a grill and an old metal table and chair set sat on its weathered planks. But a cold Chicago winter reinvigorated Casey's desire to enjoy the outdoors as much as possible, so she set out to make her pie-shaped slice of patio a place she and her friends could use.
Get the Look
The striped indoor/outdoor area rug anchors the rattan conversation set making the scene more cozy. Lush greenery creates a tropical vibe, while simultaneously adding privacy to the area. Finish off the look with patterned pillows to add colour and comfort.
Tip! Drum end tables or garden stools are great ways to include extra seating when entertaining a larger group and can act as side tables when the setting is intimate.
