The Aspirations Alcove Tub Overflow and Drain Kit from American Standard allows for 2 inches of additional water depth for a more relaxing bathing experience. High-quality pop-up style bath drain includes overflow escutcheon, pop-up drain and tailpiece.

Installation was a bit tricky as this was the first custom shower drain I have installed but I was able to figure it out. Once installed this drain is awesome. The large water collection area prevents any kind of pooling and has a luxurious feel about it. The rough-in valve can be installed in any direction as long as the bathtub centre line is aligned with one of the six screws on the plaster guard. The plaster guard has a flat top for easy levelling in installation to ensure the trim will be standing straight after installation. A test cap and plugs are included for pressure testing the connection between the rough-in valve and water supply lines.

To make sure everything fits perfectly, there are Unica shower bars in different lengths, with shower hose and brackets, to suit all conventional hand showers. Whoever uses the bathtub for bathing and showering would also want to be as flexible as possible when positioning the shower head. In the shower, hip height is sufficient as a lower limit; there you should perhaps opt for the 24" wallbar or you could go for a 36" wallbar depending on your needs. It brings incredible amounts of freedom of movement, making it perfect for families with children and grandparents. To help ensure that the shower hose is a perfect length it is included along with many bars.
