Love this fridge!!! Super cold don’t over load frezzer !!! It will ice up

This is my second GE fridge in less than a year, as the first unit rusted prematurely. So fortunately GE replaced it with this model (to be fair after sales is highly appreciated). Unfortunately, this model is a disaster in terms of noise. It produces a constant humming sound that is audible from every floor of the house. I'm afraid of opening the fridge when it is resting because it kicks the compressor and will be stuck with the humming for a while. ​Beyond the loud compressor, there are frequent "banging" sounds during the defrost cycle that sound like ice being crushed. Additionally, the door hinges are already squeaking after minimal use. I am very disappointed in the build quality and would not recommend this model to anyone who values a quiet home.

It's five years old and we have had to replace the ice maker twice!
