I love the idea that these sconces are not hardwired. I live in a rental unit and I have curtains between the upstairs and the downstairs and that little light looks so charming and I don’t have to turn on the big White. These are nice lights that we got to accent pictures in our hallway. There are lights on both sides. I will say that I thought that one side was stuck powered in, until I realized the pictures on the top indicated which button to use on the remote control.
