Ok, giving this 4.5 stars for aesthetic and solid wood frame. HOWEVER, please be cautioned There were some dings and splintering that are fortunately hidden after assembly with one acception. The assembly itself self took 2.5 hrs with a couple sanity breaks. Each spindled piece has an item sticker that would be visible and thus needed removal. I ruined my nails and spent 10x as long removing stickers and the glue as I did putting the head and footboard together. After FINALLY getting this bed put together, I almost cried contemplating the labor intensive deconstruction that would be required to take it out of the room. This project is not for the faint of heart. It is, indeed, a project. I would not deduct stars as paying for assembly is an option. Also, an oversight on my part, but the bedframe will not house a mattress and box spring, only a mattress. My biggest frustration was the assembly, and second the blemishes on the frame. this bed surprisingly made me fall in love with Wayfair cribs. the instructions were a breeze and it made putting the crib together feel so rewarding. the crib itself is sturdy, easy to change the height level of the mattress moves around super simply. Good value crib. I use it for my grandson when he stays over. Theres an excellent YouTube video for assembly by a father expecting twins. I recommend the video vs using the manual. I assembled it myself other than needing someone to help me attach the mattress assembly as the last step. It does the trick.
